Hundreds of people have already signed-up. I should be happy but I’m not. You see …. I’ve never really been into birthday parties. The notion of having all these people come out just to see me is a little unsettling.

Despite public perception, I am highly introverted. You may have a hard time believing that but hey, just ask my Mom.

My ideal birthday party would actually be a 7-day silent retreat. (Stay tuned … its’ coming). At conferences I know how to turn it on and become Mr. Motivator (shout out to Bennie Randall) but the public stage is not something I crave.

So .. why am I really having a birthday party? Glad you asked.

I have to blame Lucinda Cross of http://corporatemomdropouts.com/. A few years ago, she demanded that I have a birthday party. With very little planning, and against my protests, we had over 50 people at the house.

A comment by a few guests caught me by surprise. They said ….

“Geez, I have never been around so many positive people”

Wow! I begin to realize how extremely blessed I was to have people in my life who are actively pursuing worthy goals. I began to see the need to share my circle of “doers” with others.

This party is NOT about me! It’s about YOU!

Now, I’m really getting excited.

Today is YOUR birthday as well! Yup, I said it! Today is YOUR birthday as well!

Every sunrise represents a chance for you to be “born again.” Today is NOT yesterday. You can be free of yesterday’s pain, guilt and tears and walk in the newness of TODAY!

Are you willing, open and ready?

I would like to celebrate the new YOU who will no longer stand for mediocrity and who will dare to be bold and different.

On this day, I implore you to make a decision, push yourself and make something BIG happen in 16 weeks.
