Don’t Die with Your Dreams
I know this sounds morbid, but I think everyone should experience a “good” funeral. Before you get upset with me, allow me to explain myself. You are probably wondering, “What do you mean by a “good” funeral?”
A “good” funeral is a home-going celebration that you MUST attend. No matter how busy your week is, you are able to find the time to attend this funeral. As you sit there, thinking about your close friend or relative who made their transition, you reflect on past conversations and their dreams and aspirations. You wonder if they died with their dreams. You ask yourself, “Who will continue their legacy?”
After you wipe away the tears and say your condolences to the family, you then leave the funeral… INSPIRED! You leave with a renewed commitment to share your vision with the world. Now, that’s what I call a “good” funeral!
What’s inside of you? There is something on the inside that needs to come out. You were sent here to give birth to a vision.
What is your calling? What were you sent to create?
Stop the fear and guilt and simply release your dreams.
If another person says to me, “But, Andrew, I don’t want anyone to steal my idea,” I am going to scream! I agree with you. Go ahead and obtain the proper legal protection in the form of confidentiality agreements, copyrights and trademarks. (A great intellectual lawyer is Clyde Vanel. Check him out at Vanellaw.com). But don’t allow your fears to stop you from releasing your dreams.
Everyone is waiting to support you. You just have to believe!
I don’t know about you, but I plan to DIE on empty. By releasing my dreams, I am allowing others to fulfill their dreams.
The Internet is the answer! Here’s what I would like you to do:
1. Pick a dream
2. Create a group on Facebook.com
3. Tell your friends to invite their friends
4. Send an e-mail to everyone you know asking for help
5. Select a project that your dream team can complete in 16 weeks. (Events, seminars, books, videos and CDs are great projects)
6. Celebrate your victory with a party
7. Dream bigger and start the process again
Listen, I am not making this up. I did not read this in a book. I have several BIG dreams that are coming to fruition because I simply released them.
Please, don’t die with your dreams.
Open yourself to sharing. And then ….
Stand back and witness the abundant harvest.
In closing, I would like you to reflect on the words of Henry David Thoreau, when he said … “This world is but a canvas to our imagination.”
Expect the Best,
Andrew Morrison
